A Message from the Executive Director, Engineering Institute of Canada
The Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC), representing Canadian engineering societies since 1887, and its member societies are pleased to be a part of the National Career Fairs during 2009. The stature of the companies and other organizations expected to attend and the anticipated number of quality attendees seeking to develop their careers will provide an opportunity for us to increase our visibility.
The EIC vision is: “Engineering, for a prosperous, safe and sustainable Canada.”
Our Mission is: Develop and promote continuing education; Initiate and facilitate interdisciplinary activities and services; Lead member societies in defining and building the future of engineering and Advocate the values and benefits of engineering.
Member Societies of the EIC disseminate technical information serving Biological, Civil, Chemical, Computer, Dam, Electrical, Electronic, Geotechnical, Mechanical, Medical and Nuclear engineering as well as Engineering Management. There is also a society for Senior Engineers.
I encourage all employers to attend the National Career Fairs and personally to speak with engineering professionals as much as possible. These fairs provide a wonderful opportunity to re-vitalize your engineering staff and bring in new ideas.
